So as I was working on the piece last night
I felt very dissatisfied with the figure on the left.
His face looked funny to me and really
I didn’t need him at all.
Pulling him out of the picture gave way to a
wonderful process of elimination and creation
of a new background. I am rather pleased with the
results.

I can’t tell if this is done really. I think I want to add
to the man’s shirt or I am not sure. Anyway here is the progress.

This was a picture I did in 2005. The painting is 4″ x5″
It was very difficult to paint this little picture at the time.

Tonight I painted over the little baby canvas. But revisited the idea

Kind of fun. I also wrote a little poem in 2005 for the painting.
There once was a girl her name was Alice Burns she lit up like a match and she crumbled his life. She stood there so coyly her fingers were oily with gasoline mixtures and liquid lies.
Here is another piece that I have toyed with.
This is a very small piece about 5″ x 7″
Here is the original.

Here is the revised version

I have also finished another new painting.
A smile.

I have recently been messing with an old painting called
the ghost of me
here is the older version

and here is the revised version

Here is the start of a much larger painting involving a masquerade.
Measures 48″ x 24″
Once again the picture has been taken with my cell phone
So quality is an issue.

The gallery I am showing out is unable to be opened this particular Thursday.
So the showing will be postponed to next month. I will still be walking around
but I don’t think I will be trying to sell on the street. See you next month?
I will be at the GROW gallery for Last Thursday this 24th.
1618 NE Alberta at 6 pm
I will be selling my older pieces most likely my burlesque series.
Please come join me!
In the mean time here are a few peeks at some new pieces I just finished.

I have been on a roll lately I finished “The Haircut” two days ago and “Roses” today at work. These are just photos from my camera phone but they pretty much look like the pictures. I have finally got some upcoming times where my artwork will be shown:
* Cup and Saucer, Portland OR-January
* Red and Black Cafe, Portland OR- February
Also I am heading a new direction with my paintings. I am incorporating mixed media. I begin with a pen and ink line drawing and add a very watery mixture of inks and acrylics. I broke my camera so here is a very bad quality pic of one of my newest paintings.
