Here is the Queen of Hearts!

Ok so after a very busy holiday I am trying to peel out some
new pieces quick for Cup and Saucer for January. Time to
recycle! Here is a revised piece.

So I think I will do a few more of these and then attempt some
new pieces to be finished very shortly.
I will update about art in hand deck as I get to it but so far I
haven’t started!
Here is my latest project. My last entry was what I based this drawing from.
I photoshopped some elements together. This will be a fun one!

I just finished another submission for a show. The theme is pilgrimage. My idea
was that a spiritual journey occurs when we understand that death is a vital part
of life. It is around and within every living creature.

This piece is for a submission to the November themed show at 100th
monkey art studio. The theme is “Pilgrimage.”
A pilgrimage is a long journey or search for some type of moral significance.
Sometimes, it is a journey to a sacred place. Members of many major religions
participate in pilgrimages. Have you ever taken a trip physically, emotionally or
spiritually that you might consider a pilgrimage?
So here is my piece about aging and the journey.

These piece is done on canvas inserted into the back of a mirror.
So as I was working on the piece last night
I felt very dissatisfied with the figure on the left.
His face looked funny to me and really
I didn’t need him at all.
Pulling him out of the picture gave way to a
wonderful process of elimination and creation
of a new background. I am rather pleased with the
results.

I can’t tell if this is done really. I think I want to add
to the man’s shirt or I am not sure. Anyway here is the progress.

This was a picture I did in 2005. The painting is 4″ x5″
It was very difficult to paint this little picture at the time.

Tonight I painted over the little baby canvas. But revisited the idea

Kind of fun. I also wrote a little poem in 2005 for the painting.
There once was a girl her name was Alice Burns she lit up like a match and she crumbled his life. She stood there so coyly her fingers were oily with gasoline mixtures and liquid lies.
Here is another piece that I have toyed with.
This is a very small piece about 5″ x 7″
Here is the original.

Here is the revised version

I have also finished another new painting.
A smile.

I have recently been messing with an old painting called
the ghost of me
here is the older version

and here is the revised version
